Now for the Legalities:

*You must be over 18 to get married; if one party is 16 or 17 permission may be obtained.

*You must fill out A Notice of Intended Marriage between a month

and 18 months before the wedding. I provide this form for you to sign in my presence or you may download it from www.bdm.vic.gov.au

*You must produce an original birth certificate or passport.

*If previously married you must also produce a Decree Absolute or Certificate of Divorce from the court or a Death certificate if applicable

*You must state that you take each other to be husband and wife in your vows.

*There must be 2 witnesses over 18 years of age at your ceremony and to sign certificates.

Other practicalities: \

*I organize and manage all legal requirements from the Notice of Intended Marriage to the Registration.

*We will have at least 2 meetings and as much phone or email contact as you wish before the wedding.

*I will give you a resource folder with a selection of introductions, vows, poetry etc. You can choose your ceremony from this, create your own or work with me to compile a very personal ceremony that captures the magic of your relationship.

You will get to approve all words of the service and will receive a keepsake copy.

*I encourage the involvement of family and friends in your ceremony but always respect your wishes.

*I will arrive at least 20 minutes before the ceremony starts to settle the Groom, arrange the  male attendants, check on the placement of chairs, tables, etc and liaise with the  venue manager, music operator and photographer.

*I will dress, and conduct your ceremony, in a professional manner.

*Guests will always remember this day so you must feel confident that everything will run smoothly with a focus on ENJOYMENT.
